Texas Workforce Solutions Announces New Training Program for Technology Careers

Texas Workforce Solutions has announced a new training program for technology careers. The program, which is being offered in partnership with Austin Community College, will provide participants with the skills they need to get started in a variety of high-demand technology jobs.

The program will cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • Software development
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data analytics
  • Networking

Participants will also have the opportunity to complete internships with leading technology companies in Texas.

“This new training program is a great opportunity for Texans to get the skills they need to succeed in the technology industry,” said Texas Workforce Solutions CEO Bryan Daniel. “We are committed to helping Texans find good jobs and build strong careers.”

The program is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older and has a high school diploma or equivalent. Classes will be held at Austin Community College’s Highland Campus.

Texas A&M University Launches New Engineering Career Center

Texas A&M University has launched a new engineering career center. The center will provide students with a variety of resources to help them prepare for careers in engineering.

The center’s services will include:

  • Career counseling
  • Resume and cover letter writing assistance
  • Interview preparation
  • Job search assistance
  • Networking opportunities

The center will also host a variety of events throughout the year, such as career fairs and employer presentations.

“We are excited to launch the new engineering career center,” said Texas A&M University College of Engineering Dean Jim Barner. “We are committed to providing our students with the resources they need to succeed in their careers.”

The engineering career center is located in the Engineering Annex at Texas A&M University.

Dallas ISD Partners with Local Businesses to Provide Career Training for Students

The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) has partnered with several local businesses to provide career training for students. The partnership will provide students with the opportunity to learn about and gain experience in a variety of career fields.

The partnership will include:

  • Internships
  • Job shadowing opportunities
  • Mentorships
  • Guest speakers
  • Field trips

“We are committed to providing our students with the skills they need to succeed in the workplace,” said DISD Superintendent Michael Hinojosa. “This partnership with local businesses will help us achieve that goal.”

The partnership is part of DISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. The CTE program provides students with the opportunity to learn about and prepare for a variety of career fields.
